The Initial Game Pass Titles of 2026 Show Xbox Isn't Giving Up Yet.
Everywhere you go, fans keep sounding the funeral bells for the green team. Xbox was recently outsold by a lesser-known competitor. Platform-specific outlets have started writing on PS5 topics unprecedentedly. 2025 was complete chaos for the Xbox ecosystem. But if we're going solely off what's coming to Game Pass in 2026, it becomes clear that the green gaming company continues to plan to engage players with quality releases on its premier subscription.
The Current Inclusions
The two games that are immediately available as you read this, Brews & Bastards and Little Nightmares Enhanced Edition, don't represent the biggest draws. The true anticipation is for the upcoming titles to Game Pass over the next few weeks that's worth getting excited about.
Major Titles on the Horizon
Starting January 13th, the platform will add the underappreciated Star Wars Outlaws, a sprawling adventure that refreshes typical Ubisoft design with a space-faring criminal escapade. An additional significant inclusion is Resident Evil Village and its giant Lady Dimitrescu, which our 2021 review called "the perfect cocktail of terror and combat."
Intriguing Niche Additions
Yet, the less-hyped additions set to join the catalog are noteworthy here. Lost In Random: The Eternal Die, a fantastic but under-the-radar dungeon crawler that's a blast to play, becomes available next week β and it's worth experiencing even if you missed out on the first Lost in Random game.
The game set in a ruined Britain from last year may draw you in within just a quarter of an hour.
Atomfall, the stealth survival game by the developers behind Sniper Elite, also warrants your attention. Game Pass Ultimate subscribers also have Warhammer 40,000: Space Marine β Master Crafted Edition to look forward to.
A Robust Selection of Games
In summary, this isn't a revolutionary update to Game Pass, and they don't represent first-party juggernauts that are the sole reason for the service by themselves. However, this batch of games are exceptionally strong. It offers a healthy blend of old games you might have missed and new-ish games that lacked the recognition they deserved the first time around β transforming them into perfect candidates to find a new audience on Game Pass.
Be prepared to part ways with The Grinch Christmas Adventures, though.
